About The Position

Zetron is seeking a Systems Technologist for their Victoria, BC office. This role is crucial for designing, assembling, inspecting, and testing radio systems for Land Mobile Radio (LMR) manufacturing, ensuring compliance with documented procedures and standards. The position involves working with radio repeater systems and components, configuring test equipment, performing inspections, soldering, managing system documentation, assisting with production issues, and basic network testing. The role also requires providing backup support to team members to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

Electronics Engineering Technology diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SAP.
Exceptional speed, accuracy, and attention to detail with the ability to maintain performance in a consistently fast-paced environment.
Ability to follow systematic processes and a good understanding of general safety procedures.
Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to work independently and be part of a team.

Nice To Haves

Three plus years of direct experience in a similar role or related field.
Basic RF knowledge.
Computer networking experience.

Responsibilities

Design, assemble, test, and measure various radio repeater systems and system components using documented procedures.
Configure and operate test equipment to assess, analyze, and diagnose the performance of assemblies and systems.
Perform inspections on third-party products.
Solder components into circuit boards while adhering to industry standards.
Create, modify, and store system configuration documentation, including module test sheets, and related information such as FCC, Industry Canada, frequency, and serial number labels and records.
Assist with the resolution of production-related issues and recommend improvements for productivity.
Provide basic testing of networking devices.
Execute appropriate transactions in SAP.
Provide backup support to team members during peak periods or staff absences.
