About The Position

Innovative, Inc., a Microsoft, VMware, HPE, and Cisco Premier Certified Partner, is seeking a Systems Technician Intern to join our Service department and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced IT support environment. Working alongside our experienced technicians, you'll learn how we deliver L1/L2 support across diverse technologies while assisting small-to-mid-sized businesses throughout Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. This internship is perfect for students or recent graduates looking to launch their IT career with real-world, practical experience and mentorship from industry professionals. No two days are the same — you'll encounter diverse challenges across multiple industries, giving you constant opportunities to expand your technical skills and build a professional network. Requirements

  • Current student or recent graduate pursuing (or with a degree in) IT, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Basic computer troubleshooting experience or relevant coursework
  • Interest in building and supporting PC, server, and network infrastructure hardware
  • Strong customer service orientation and professional communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to learn from experienced professionals
  • Reliable transportation to service calls throughout the region

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching)
  • Experience with ticketing or asset management systems
  • CompTIA A+ certification or active pursuit of the certification
  • Interest in pursuing CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft certifications
  • Familiarity with small business IT environments
  • Basic knowledge of Cisco, Avaya, and/or other telephony systems
