About The Position

ECI has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Systems Specialist to join our New York team. In this role, you will play a key role in our technical delivery team by working with a Client Technology Manager (CTM), and Senior Engineers to drive the technology programs, including Cloud implementation and support, desktop engineering escalation and networking for a defined portfolio of clients. Using latest and greatest technologies and solutions, you will support the client’s innovation by following a set of standards and best practices in a rapidly evolving technology landscape. In this hybrid role, you may be dedicated to one of our flagship clients or support multiple clients in New York, NY.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Information Technology related field, or 3+ years comparable experience in a technology administration role
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems such as Windows Server and Windows 11
  • Intermediate understanding of networking concepts: Routing, Switching, network security, hardware and software VPN clients
  • Proficient with deployment and troubleshooting of operating systems and applications
  • Android/iOS configuration, troubleshooting and integration with MDM solutions
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 modern workplace including Intune
  • Experience with cyber-security concepts (Multi-Factor Authentication, Endpoint protection, Web and Mail security platforms)
  • Exchange/OneDrive Retention policies
  • Ability to perform patching and maintenance of systems
  • Experience with backup configuration and data recovery
  • Familiarity with enterprise management tools and tasks (vulnerability management, event management, RMM)
  • Experience using PowerShell to manage Microsoft products
  • Proficient in incident response management during security events and high-priority escalations, as well as disaster recovery and business continuity activations

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Managed Service Providers (MSP) preferred
  • Financial Services or Life Science industry experience a plus
  • Certifications in Azure Fundamentals, with Server+, Network+ and Security+
  • Familiarity with Azure Virtual Desktop, M365 CloudPC, and Citrix digital workspace platform

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with, and act as a tier 3 escalation point for Client Technology Management, Service Desk, Engineering and other client support teams
  • Provide accurate, comprehensive notes on work performed to account for time spent with customers
  • Provide advanced support of Microsoft 365/Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Provide escalation support on common productivity technologies such as Microsoft 365 modern workplace including Intune
  • Implement and manage enterprise mail platform and security systems such as Microsoft Exchange, Proofpoint Essentials and Mimecast
  • Document processes and procedures which explain system functionality or regular tasks to contribute to our internal knowledge base including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOP)
  • Apply best-practice configurations to client security platforms such as Entra Conditional Access, DUO Multifactor Authentication (MFA) services, and zero-trust services such as Cloudflare and iBoss
  • Provide high-level consultation on information security fundamentals such as good password hygiene practices, multi-factor authentication recommendations and social-engineering defense
  • Perform system maintenance tasks including software and operating system patching, software version upgrades, critical patch applications, and vulnerability remediation
  • Provide support of Active Directory such as Domain Controller upgrades, Group Policy creation, scheduled software deployments, network policy maintenance, and certificate management
  • Interface with common technology support tools such as Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM), Mobile Device/Mobile Application Management, Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure successful delivery and participate in after-hours client project implementations, migrations, and upgrades
