About The Position

NVIDIA’s Aerial PHY team develops core wireless technology for next-generation 5G and 6G networks. The team builds high-performance software for the physical layer of the radio access network, using GPUs to accelerate signal-processing tasks such as coding, decoding, MIMO, and real-time data handling. Its work translates advanced research into deployable platforms for commercial networks and future 6G innovation. The intern will work across wireless communications, CUDA/GPU programming, systems software, and AI for telecom, contributing to an end-to-end reference system stack for 5G/6G baseband. The role includes developing and simulating PHY-layer algorithms, implementing and optimizing PHY features on a GPU platform, and supporting system integration, performance testing, demonstrations, and lab trials. The position is for Summer 2027.
