Axiom Space•Houston, TX
•Onsite

About The Position

Axiom Space is seeking a Systems Engineering Intern to support systems engineering activities across its spaceflight hardware and ground systems programs. Working under the mentorship of experienced systems engineers, the intern may be assigned to an EVA/spacesuit, station, or ground systems team. Activities include requirements definition and traceability, interface management, system architecture development, verification and validation planning, test planning and execution support, and integrated performance assessments and trade studies. The intern documents engineering products, presents findings and status updates, collaborates with cross-functional teams, communicates progress and issues to stakeholders and leadership, and helps apply agile development methodologies throughout the project lifecycle. This is a temporary, project-based internship running onsite at Axiom Space in Houston, Texas, from June 1 to August 20, 2027. Interns are responsible for arranging their own transportation and accommodations. The work is generally in an office environment, though tasks may involve work inside or outside. Evening and weekend work may be required to meet critical project milestones.
