About The Position

We are currently seeking a Systems Operator B to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer systems. As a Systems Operator B, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our company's manufacturing. Systems Operators B will be responsible for setting the press up, selecting dies, performing maintenance, and troubleshooting problems.

Requirements

• HS Diploma/GED preferred
• Must be able to pass a skills-based test
• Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work efficiently and effectively: self-motivated: self-starter
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• A minimum of three (3) months' related experience and/or training, preferred, but willing to train the right individuals
• Must be able to pass company background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safe and efficient running of the extrusion press
• Promptly communicates to supervisor any issues concerning health, safety, quality, and efficiencies
• Responsible for the in-process inspection/verification of parts during extrusion
• Monitor and maintain good physical condition of extrusion press and handling equipment
• Meet the quality standards required by customer specifications
• Responsible for inspecting parts after the stretching operation
• Follow company procedures and policies
• Responsible to ensure right alloys are running for correct process
• Read and understand shop orders
• Read and understand calipers, micrometers, and tape measures
• Read and understand prints
• Run the press and meet all press requirements
• Must be able to read a go- and no-go gauge to check material after it has been aged
• Must fill out check sheets for any moving equipment before it is used
• Operate an electric cart and overhead crane
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor or team leader
