About The Position

The Boeing Global Service (BGS) P-8 Modification Integration Team (PMIT) is seeking a Mid-Level or Senior Systems Logistics Integrator in Tukwila, Washington. PMIT focuses on post-production P-8 modifications, including capability improvements, obsolescence mitigation, and sustainment activities. This role involves developing and implementing procurement and product-support strategies for P-8 modification programs, integrating and monitoring concurrent procurement and product-support activities to ensure timely delivery and sustainment. The position requires close collaboration with supply chain teams in Boeing Defense, Security and Space (BDS) and BGS to create a long-term strategy for modification part procurement for domestic and international P-8 customers, leveraging opportunities with P-8 production. The role emphasizes creative problem-solving, leadership, data analysis, and frequent interaction with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to deliver superior customer capability. Strong written and oral communication, enthusiasm, collaboration, program management principles, supply chain processes and tools, product support processes, and independent decision-making skills are highly desired. The ideal candidate will have a strong supply chain background and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with suppliers, BGS, and BDS stakeholders in a geographically dispersed team environment. The P-8 aircraft is a military derivative of the 737 Next Generation (NG) used for patrol and reconnaissance.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience working with Procurement, Supplier Management, Supply Chain, Material Management and/or Logistics processes
  • Experience working with Boeing Supply Chain tools and processes
  • Experience developing and managing strong relationships with partners (internal & external) and suppliers
  • Experience delivering technical presentations to executive teams
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally 25% of the time
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of higher education and/or related work experience (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc)

  • 1+ years of experience working with procurement, contracts, and/or procurement agents supporting execution of purchase actions and supplier engagements

  • Enthusiasm, a strong collaborative drive, working knowledge of program management principles, understanding of supply chain processes and tools, product support processes, cross-functional collaboration, and independent decision-making skills are highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Develop overall procurement strategy, schedules, and integration plans for P-8 modification execution
  • Collaborate with procurement agents, supply chain partners, contracts, estimating, and other key functional partners to enable seamless execution of procurement requirements
  • Proactively identify risks/issues and escalate potential mitigation plans
  • Serve as a primary Boeing focal point to connect suppliers with Boeing resources to drive timely resolution of requests and issues, including technical and engineering requests (i.e. Technical Supplier Information Requests (TSIRs)), Notices of Escapements (NOEs), Non-Conformances (NCRs), and Manufacturing Revision Requests (MRRs)
  • Build relationships with critical suppliers to enable risk mitigation, resolve obsolescence issues, and recover schedule to ensure timely delivery of parts, safety stock, and spares to P-8 modification facility and customers
  • Integrate across teams to provide formal customer-facing status updates, prepare and deliver presentations and status reviews, and escalate key issues
  • Work to resolve logistics challenges associated with delivering parts to various P-8 sites, including international locations
  • Lead cross-business unit collaboration between BGS and BDS to find opportunities for synergy and efficiency within the supply chain
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure procurement plans and schedules are aligned with most current technical data and change management processes
  • Support cost estimating and proposal activities by coordinating data collection and process execution
