About The Position

As part of the Gas Turbine Systems organization, the System Integration Leader (SIL) will hold technical accountability for assigned GT model(s) throughout the engine life cycle. The SIL serves as the primary integrator of cross-functional engineering teams, balancing technical risks, programmatic constraints, and system performance. The initial focus for this role is to lead the next generation of HA combustion technologies, collaborating across Gas Power Engineering, the Vernova Advanced Research Center, Manufacturing, and the HA Product Line to define technical requirements and guide development from TRL1 through NPI launch.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering
  • At least 8 years of Gas Turbine Engineering design experience
  • Eligibility for U.S. export-controlled technology access

Responsibilities

  • Champion a culture of safety, technical rigor, and quality excellence in all engineering activities.
  • Lead systems integration across assigned F-class and HA-class product lines, ensuring cohesion between mechanical design, operability, schedule, cost, and quality.
  • Partner with the Product Line team to translate market needs into verifiable technical requirements, ensuring effective flow-down to sub-system engineering teams.
  • Serve as the designated System Interface Owner. Define, document, and control all critical interfaces; manage interface control documents (DMs) and ensure design inputs/outputs are synchronized across technical boundaries.
  • Set team priorities and standards, foster a high-performance environment, drive "quality with speed," and mentor engineering talent.
  • Apply domain expertise in gas turbine design to implement solutions that enhance performance, operational flexibility, emissions compliance, and cost-value.
  • Decisively address issues related to product quality, performance, and reliability to maintain customer trust and fleet integrity.
  • Collaborate across internal engineering, project management, sales, and service functions to align project objectives with customer expectations.
  • Provide both transactional and systemic recommendations to optimize execution and project outcomes.
  • Drive urgent resolution for factory and fleet-related technical challenges to ensure operational continuity.
