About The Position

Ready to help define and build the computer infrastructure for controlling the Next Generation of the Electrical Grid. As a Systems Integration Engineer you will work under limited supervision to perform basic integration and engineering assignments associated with the configuration of secure and reliable computer systems for our Utility customers. Join us in defining and building the computer infrastructure that powers the next generation of the electrical grid. As an Infrastructure Architect, you will work under limited supervision to perform integration and engineering tasks, configuring secure and reliable systems that support our mission-critical utility customers. We will not be sponsoring candidates that require Visas now or in the future for this role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of hardware design or integration experience
  • Minimum 1 year of Solid experience with VMware, Windows, and Linux
  • Minimum 1 year of Networking expertise (TCP/IP, configuring switches, routers, and firewalls)
  • 1 year of Hands-on hardware installation skills
  • Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to implement highly available systems (no single point of failure)
  • Experience with Kubernetes and AWS
  • Familiarity with RTU (Remote Terminal Unit) protocols (serial and IP)
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Visio for technical documentation

Responsibilities

  • Integrate network hardware, operating systems, and third-party software according to project design criteria and performance objectives.
  • Collaborate with lead engineers to implement designs within project schedules.
  • Conduct functional system testing, prepare hardware documentation (design drawings, setup plans, configuration manuals), and support customer demonstrations.
  • Handle physical hardware installation (racking, cabling, labeling) and provide support for shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.
  • Communicate effectively across organizational levels and maintain a continuous improvement mindset.
  • May require extended hours, on-call rotation, and occasional travel to domestic or international sites.
