About The Position

As a systems engineer for the Coastal family, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for the execution of a predetermined and highly complex schedule with some of the best engineering minds around. We encourage you to apply if you have any of these experiences interest you: One week you might be inputting technical information into a full system database, the next you could be overseas observing operations and developing an understanding of an underwater system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus 6 months of relevant experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
  • Ability to quickly grasp and apply new information.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot issues down to the component level.
  • Familiarity with IT fundamentals like networking, system administration, and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Experience managing and working with databases (e.g., SQL).
  • Eagerness to learn and understand the technical details of the systems you document.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

  • Inputting technical information into a full system database.

  • Building and maintaining a cutting-edge database of undersea systems information.
  • Collaborating with engineering, GIS, and operational teams to collect and document data.

  • Participating in occasional at-sea deployments to gather firsthand system insights.
  • Troubleshooting and improving database functionality as needs evolve.
