Systems Integration and Test Engineer - Junior (ERAM)
About The Position
Under general supervision, the Systems Integration and Test Engineer shall assist in the preparation and execution of tests to verify system software and hardware. Duties may include performing testing at FAA sites and in Physical/Virtual test labs to ensure the system, test procedure, and test inputs are prepared to execute with the customer present. This role involves executing procedures that verify the system is properly configured and operating in the NAS, reporting system-level issues with detailed supporting data, and performing formal test execution with the customer and quality assurance organizations. The engineer will need to understand XML data and troubleshoot connection issues with network configurations, IP addresses, JMS queue configurations, etc. Additionally, the role requires demonstrating test execution to the FAA on a run for record to achieve customer acceptance of the content per release. Applicants will be subject to a background investigation. Must be a US citizen or 3-year permanent resident. The company is not able to sponsor applicants at this time. Before starting, must be willing to endure 2+ months of time to allow completion of FAA background investigation. Travel is required, and the candidate must be willing and able to travel 100% of the time.
Requirements
- Experience with UNIX/Linux operating systems.
- Troubleshoot connection /network configurations skills.
- Experience in following a documented Integration and Test Development Process.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interface with internal and external customers.
- Willing to collaborate with FAA customer on sites to build system knowledge.
- Must be a US citizen or 3-year permanent resident.
- Willing to endure 2+ months for FAA background investigation.
- Willing and able to travel 100% of the time.
Nice To Haves
- Experience or domain knowledge of FAA Air Traffic is desired.
- FAA Air Traffic Domain Knowledge
- Experience with formal test with a government agency/customer
- ERAM experience
Responsibilities
