About The Position

The Naval Power Engineering Execution Team is seeking a highly motivated Development Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) for the SM-6 Blk IU/SM-2 Blk IIICU program. This position reports to the Program Director and Chief Engineer and leads the execution efforts of the Systems Engineering and Life Cycle Engineering teams, including Safety, Logistics and Reliability. This lead will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of the team scope leading to the upcoming Critical Design Review (CDR) and beyond, through System Verification Review (SVR), Functional Configuration Audit (FCA) and Engineering Change Proposal (ECP). They are responsible for removing barriers and defining solutions that support the program. In addition, it is expected this person will work across all Raytheon functional organizations to coordinate staffing the team and ensure the timely start-up and delivery of products in accordance with the contracts. This is an onsite position located in Tucson, AZ.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • Earned Value Management System (EVMS) Certified.
  • Program Manager Level 6 Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
  • Experience with both Windows and Microsoft products.
  • Experience with requirements verification processes and methods.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required before the start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE), Doors and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience participating in and leading in a Scaled Agile development environment.
  • Experience as an Integrated Product Team lead or Deputy IPTL.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team (~20) through the project lifecycle from requirements definition through development and integration to delivery.
  • Working with the Program Manager and Chief Engineer, define project schedules, budgets and resource requirements and ensure adherence to program milestones.
  • Manage risk identification, mitigation strategies and resolution of technical challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members to foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Provide technical guidance, expertise and review for Technical Data Package (TDP) maintenance.
  • Act as the point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, communicating project status, risks and opportunities effectively.
  • Support proposal development and planning activities for future projects and initiatives related to the value stream.
