Raytheon is seeking a talented and motivated Systems Engineering Intern to join our Systems Integration & Test Long Range Radars Department within the Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities Directorate is seeking a Systems Engineering Intern who will support X-Band Radar technology that includes performing radar data analysis and systems integration activities at our Woburn, MA location. This includes supporting systems data analysis and integration task, typical daily activities executed by the teams include scenario development, testing, data analysis, support to software development and systems engineering teams, and customer presentations.

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
  • Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
  • Experience with MATLAB, Python, Perl, C/C++, Linux, Unix, and/or other programming language.
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.​
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Nice To Haves

  • Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.
  • Understanding of MATLAB, Linux Operating Systems (Linux Red Hat), Unix, and/or Shell scripting
  • Knowledge of radar and signal processing concept
  • Understanding of agile and DevSecOps processes

Responsibilities

  • Support integration and test execution, executing verification/validation events, execute regression testing, and perform scenario-based analysis to identify and resolve technical observations.
  • Support system performance assessments and validation testing to ensure compliance with requirements and specifications.
  • Execute integration plans and testing activities according to defined tasking milestones and schedules.
  • Integrate and test radar system software builds in a String/HWIL facility for supporting integration, verification, test, and data analysis activities.
  • Confirm test and evaluation processes are conducted according to established procedures for software and hardware.
