2027 Summer Intern - Systems Engineering - Onsite
About The Position
The 2027 Summer Systems Engineering Intern will work primarily onsite in El Segundo, California, alongside cross-functional project teams and under the technical direction of assigned Senior Engineers. The intern will support systems engineering work throughout the product development lifecycle, including systems design, integration and test, and product documentation. The role also includes participation in design reviews, technical discussions, and lab verification sessions, with an emphasis on learning, incorporating feedback, and professional development. U.S. citizenship is required to access information under the program or contract.
Requirements
- Be pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM major.
- Remain actively enrolled through completion of the internship or co-op session.
- Be a U.S. citizen, as U.S. citizenship is required to access information under the program or contract.
Nice To Haves
- Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.
- Experience using electronic test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMMs), and signal generators for circuit characterization, debugging, and validation.
- Software development experience, such as using Python.
- Relevant experience may come from on-the-job work, research, coursework, or projects.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate onsite with cross-functional project teams to deliver systems engineering solutions and support active development milestones.
- Work under the technical direction of assigned Senior Engineers and incorporate their feedback, guidance, and best practices into engineering tasks.
- Assist with systems engineering tasks throughout the development lifecycle, including systems design, integration and test, and product documentation.
- Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and lab verification sessions.
