The Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) Analyst supports the Navy Director of Innovation Protection Policies Program Manager position in the development of investigative capabilities/tools and substantive analysis of national and economic security risks arising from new and emerging technologies, particularly as they relate to the missions of the DOW, Navy, and ONR, the national innovation ecosystem, and the Defense Industrial Base. The role involves conducting research, producing reports and analyses, and assisting in the management and execution of program tasking. The ideal candidate will possess strong professionalism, discretion, and communication skills, with the ability to interface with senior leaders across government and industry. They must be an independent thinker capable of tactful problem-solving, creative research in emerging areas of technology, law, and policy, and possess critical thinking and strategic analysis skills. The ability to gather research and make recommendations in the face of ambiguity, work independently, and collaborate effectively with others is essential.
