About The Position

Empower AI is seeking a Systems Engineer for an exciting opportunity at the Department of State. This role is responsible for the development and maintenance of the enterprise infrastructure supporting the hybrid VPC and global IT infrastructure for the customer. In this role, you will provide engineering and implementation services used across the customer enterprise.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience
• Bachelor's in IT or related field
• Secret Security Clearance

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing upgrades, enhancements, and modernization for the enterprise IT environment.
• Designing and implementing server and storage filer infrastructure to support distributed, high-volume data storage and networked file sharing, leveraging modern technologies to improve scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Managing customer AD domain to provide authentication and authorization services for organizational units in the NCR and domestic facilities, ensuring integration with modern security protocols and standards.
• Providing backup services for customer servers, systems, and data centers, including redundant backup storage, integrity checks, and audit processes.
• Operating and maintaining MS Exchange clusters in data center facilities and Exchange servers at domestic facilities, ensuring alignment with modern email and collaboration technologies.
• Coordinating and collaborating with customer organizations to ensure all DNS implementations conform to and integrate with DoS requirements and infrastructure.
• Managing DHCP scopes and leases to support dynamic and scalable network configurations.
• Managing, updating, and maintaining the Customer Hardware Request website in support of deployment services.
