About The Position

Applied Materials is hiring a Systems Engineer to design, integrate, and optimize complex systems that support the semiconductor industry. Responsibilities

Lead and/or develop and execute complex projects involving electrical, mechanical, physics, algorithms, and software design; attend design reviews and provide input to meet market requirement specifications (MRS) and hardware/software specifications.
Coordinate with project marketing and management to understand system requirements.
Lead architecture brainstorming meetings and drive the systems process toward selecting a final top-level system architecture.
Write detailed specifications for subsystem modules, including product interfaces, using systems analysis to create diagrams.
Create concepts for complex architectural design approaches.
Lead team evaluations of architectures and recommend the best system solution approach; provide feedback on components and modules.
Identify and troubleshoot complex engineering problems in the field of technical expertise, including serviceability and manufacturability.
Support system integration during assembly and final testing of new product designs.
Work with groups to resolve design, systems architecture development, and integration issues.
Define all equipment interfaces and systems architecture, ensuring they are up to date and documented.
Work with vendors to develop new competitive products, including developing key suppliers.
