About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to join our Information Services Team. In this role, you will administer the Association’s desktop, server, and mobile hardware and software systems while collaborating closely with other IS team members to ensure secure, reliable, and well‑maintained technology environments across the organization. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on system engineering, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 administration, troubleshooting complex issues, and supporting mission‑critical systems in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 3–5 years of experience providing system support and administration - Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and iOS operating systems
  • Extensive experience with Entra ID, Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune, and Active Directory
  • Skilled in monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting on‑prem, cloud, and third‑party systems
  • Working knowledge of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and core security principles
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving abilities
  • Ability to prioritize work effectively while maintaining confidentiality, security, and data integrity
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows and IOS operating systems
  • Extensive knowledge of Entra ID, Azure, Microsoft365 and Intune
  • Extensive knowledge of Active Directory
  • Extensive knowledge of monitoring, troubleshooting, implementations and support of on-premises, cloud and 3rd party systems
  • Working knowledge of monitoring, troubleshooting, implementation and supporting SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS services
  • Working knowledge of security principles, best practices, and encryption
  • Skill in listening and conveying awareness of a customer's problem or issue to find a resolution
  • Verbal and written communication skills are sufficient to discuss a variety of job-related topics and to effectively communicate complex issues to a variety of audiences
  • Skill in analyzing complex technical data by using logic and quantitative reasoning
  • Skill in prioritizing assignments to complete work promptly
  • Responsible for protecting the confidentiality, security, and integrity of the Association’s systems and data and clients’ data

Responsibilities

  • Configure, install, and maintain operating systems, software services, and desktop/server hardware
  • Manage MDM, endpoint management, patching, and system documentation
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across on‑prem, cloud, and third‑party systems
  • Support Service Desk escalations and collaborate with IS team members on system configurations
  • Administer Active Directory, including user/group management, Group Policies, and IAM‑based role assignments
  • Administer Azure, Microsoft 365, licensing, backups, and Azure AD sync
  • Implement technology configurations to support organizational initiatives and ensure secure, reliable system operations
  • Configures, installs, and maintains the Association’s operating systems, software services, and desktop and server hardware
  • Documents new and existing systems and solutions
  • Manages and maintains the associations Mobile Device Management (MDM) and endpoint management system
  • Patch Manages, tests and deploys patches for all systems
  • Supports initiatives by implementing the necessary technology configuration
  • Supports and maintains existing solutions by addressing issues escalated by the Service Desk and other Information Services team members
  • Coordinates with other IS Department team members to maintain our system configurations for Cloud-based & internal production and non-production environments
  • Troubleshoots problems across internal, cloud-based, and third-party systems to identify and resolve issues by implementing appropriate changes and/or configurations
  • Makes support decisions regarding the scope of issues and possible solutions and determines the correct resolutions
  • Assists in maintaining the framework for Active Directory user and group creation and use
  • Develops, tests and implements new policies for Active Directory
  • Modifies group policies based on the Association needs and regulations
  • Applies roles and hierarchy for user rights, based on Identity and Access Management (IAM) recommendations and requirements
  • Configures, implements and maintains users, applications, and groups within Azure
  • Monitors and resolves the Azure sync process for any errors
  • Maintains licensing for Microsoft, including Microsoft 365, and the Enterprise Agreement
  • Manages all aspects of the Microsoft 365backup and restore environment
