About The Position

This team of engineers is focused on providing geolocation solutions directly to decision makers and warfighters around the world. They engage with leadership, mission partners, and solution providers to align requirements, resources, and solutions to enhance the Global Geolocation Infrastructure. Information and tools provided by this team are leveraged by the Intelligence Community as well as forward deployed military assets to assess and affect the operational environment. You will learn to navigate organizational constructions, facilitate collaboration, maintain partnerships, develop communication tools, and manage the implementation of ideas from inception to deployment.

Requirements

  • Able to understand system requirements and functional requirements, and transition them into user stories, assisting in decomposition as necessary.
  • Experience performing systems engineering in the design of complex architectures.
  • Able to communicate with software developers, system engineers, PMO staff, and external contract stakeholders.
  • Experience briefing contract, product, project, and program status to stakeholders.
  • Jira/Confluence, MS Office Tools (Word, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint).
  • Experience working directly with project developers and/or subject matter experts to create technical documentation.
  • Ability to create, edit, and maintain technical documentation including user guides, architecture diagrams, dataflow diagrams, etc.
  • TS/SCI w FSP
  • Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Fourteen (14) years of experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

  • Assist teams with decomposing requirements into users stories and determining team velocity.
  • Create and deliver scheduled and milestones to the PMO and government.
  • Work closely with the customers, product users, and product owners to understand the mission needs, define requirements, and create use cases.
  • Be active participant in sprint planning sessions to decompose Epics into User Stories and work directly with development teams to identify specifics tasks.
  • Work with mission stakeholders to research and document external integrations.
  • Create and/or edit technical documentation such as user guides, system diagrams, etc.
