Based in Plano, Texas, the Systems Engineering team is seeking a new college graduate to support robotics and intelligent systems development. The engineer will help ensure hardware, software, kinematics, and AI frameworks operate together effectively through system design, integration, validation, and performance optimization.

Requirements

  • Graduating with Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Sciences or related field from an accredited degree program.
  • Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and proven good academic standing.
  • English (Written & Verbal) fluency.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior related internship or co-op experience.
  • Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
  • Strong interest in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support effective decision-making.
  • Project management skills, i.e. the ability to innovate and execute solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong planning & organizational skills
  • Experience with robotics frameworks such as ROS2, MoveIt, or Drake.
  • Experience with Python, C/C++, AI/ML frameworks, embedded systems, MATLAB/Simulink, Docker, or related systems-engineering tools.

Responsibilities

  • Perform integrated design and simulation activities using industry-standard tools to evaluate how AI models interact with robotic systems before deployment.
  • Support sensor fusion and perception development by integrating and calibrating vision, touch sensors, and motor-control systems.
  • Contribute to system requirements definition and architecture development, including data flows between compute platforms, sensors, motors, and neural-network controllers.
  • Develop prototypes and execute testing and validation activities, including hardware-in-the-loop testing, to ensure reliable real-world performance.
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
