About The Position

The Systems Engineer will interface with various stakeholders and customers to understand their needs and identify appropriate system solutions for a specific domain area. This role involves leading working groups for technical discussions, developing CONOPs and system architecture, and conducting trade studies to recommend the best options considering technical, cost, and schedule constraints. The engineer will also monitor the status and risk of capabilities in development, report findings to stakeholders, and develop new capabilities based on identified gaps. Responsibilities include developing and executing system test plans, conducting verification and validation, reviewing test results, and performing requirement development and sell-off.

Requirements

  • US Citizen with Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of eight years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with CONOPS development, requirements development/sell-off, test planning, and/or test data review.

  • Ability to clearly communicate technical details with stakeholders, both internal and external organizations.
  • Previous experience working with government customers.
  • Previous experience running a small team (1 to 3 others) to execute a test.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and Agile concepts.
  • Flexible, self-motivated, and curious.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with various stakeholders and customers to understand their needs and identify appropriate system solutions for a specific domain area.
  • Run a working group to host technical discussions and align on system solutions.
  • Develop CONOPs (Concepts of Operations) and system architecture for new capabilities.
  • Run trade studies to identify and recommend the best options, considering technical, cost, and schedule constraints.
  • Monitor and understand the status and risk of capabilities currently in development.
  • Communicate status and risk to stakeholders and customers on a regular basis.
  • Interface with various stakeholders and customers to understand gaps in utility to develop and mature new capabilities.
  • Develop and execute system test plans.
  • Conduct verification and/or validation of complex systems through test plan execution.
  • Review test results for system capabilities.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of results or clearly communicate analysis needs to the analyst team and put together final briefing packages for customers.
  • Perform requirement development and sell-off.
