About The Position

Peraton is seeking a Systems Engineer with TS/SCI clearance and Polygraph to support Cloud Network Operations. This role involves applying a strong background in Network Engineering and Systems Engineering to activities involving the latest technologies. The engineer will review customer-submitted requirements, perform end-to-end network engineering to identify additional needs, and design and implement data networks for reliable and efficient performance. The position also includes conducting network architectural design, system implementation, and integration of new systems, as well as applying knowledge of network management protocols to support overall network functionality.

Requirements

  • Fourteen (14) years of experience as a Network Engineer (NE) or Systems Engineer (SE) supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, leading, and executing Systems Engineering efforts.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Five (5) years of additional NE/SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph.
  • Experience working with engineering and network teams to translate customer requirements into technical solutions.
  • Hands‑on experience designing, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining data networks.
  • Ability to develop detailed specifications and schematics for network architectures.
  • Experience providing detailed technical guidance for hardware selection, implementation techniques, and tools to deliver optimized solutions that meet mission needs, including both current and future capacity requirements.
  • Expertise across network hardware and interconnection technologies (e.g., routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways).
  • Experience designing and implementing failover solutions for major customers.
  • Experience with ASA appliances, Cisco Nexus 9000 series, and Cisco 2960‑XR Layer 2 switches.
  • Ability to design network solutions supporting server requirements, including load balancing, VPNs, firewall contexts, and network address translation (NAT).
  • Knowledge and hands‑on experience with Cisco platforms including 6500 Series Catalyst, configuration of 9332, 9336, 9508, ASR 1009, 1013, 1003; installation of GRE tunnels; MPLS; and performing redundancy testing on multiple Cisco network systems.
