About The Position

BAE Systems is seeking an exceptional systems engineer for an exciting opportunity to support the Air Force's acquisition of the next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM), the Sentinel weapon system. This systems engineer will work with a highly skilled team developing and reviewing model-based systems engineering architecture products; namely the engineer will be expected to edit official content in the US Air Force’s official MBSE-based GBSD Reference Architecture, the contractually-binding MBSE model to the Prime Contractor. The candidate is expected to work alongside professional modelers and presenting data and reports to the US Air Force customer. Requirements

  • B.S. in a STEM field at an accredited university or college.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with requirements decomposition concepts and tools.
  • Demonstrated capacity to edit and review MBSE architecture products in-situ using MBSE software like Cameo, Rhapsody, etc.
  • Familiarity with relationship traceability in digital architectures.
  • Proactive person with a positive attitude and a “team player” mentality.
  • Highly organized with acute attention to detail.
  • Possess a willingness to learn while also sharing your current knowledge/skills.
  • Proactively provides ideas/thoughts.
  • Values brainstorming and changing the status quo.
  • Possesses both strategic thinking skills and tactical execution skills.
  • Strong communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Intern experience in DoD programs.
  • Experience in ICBM programs.
  • Successfully completed coursework in MBSE modeling, e.g., Delligatti SysML.
