About The Position

This position supports a signals intelligence (SIGINT) mission support program that provides collection systems engineering, target development, analysis, reporting, and mission software development for an Intelligence Community customer. The role is onsite at Fort Meade, MD, on a shift schedule, and is open for an immediate start. The company is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business that has supported U.S. defense and intelligence missions since 2012. Its systems, software, and data science engineers work side by side with government teams to model, design, integrate, and deploy complex mission systems, and the company also builds rugged RF hardware for specialized SIGINT applications. Led by a U.S. Navy veteran with more than 30 years of DoD mission experience, the company supports programs alongside many of the largest national security integrators and has a long-established presence in Maryland near Fort Meade.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, or Engineering Management and seven (7) years of systems engineering experience. Twelve (12) years of systems engineering experience may substitute for the degree.
• Experience optimizing and maintaining systems that support advanced data and voice technologies over IP.
• Troubleshooting experience and the ability to follow SOPs and update documentation accordingly.
• Experience configuring and maintaining front-end systems, including survey systems.
• Experience with data flows and secure network policies.
• Proficiency with the Linux/Unix command line and scripting (Bash, shell, and/or Python).
• Experience with Apache NiFi.
• Basic knowledge of network protocols.
• Ability to support a shift schedule and work onsite at Fort Meade, MD.

Nice To Haves

• Experience supporting 24/7 mission operations or a network operations center.
• CompTIA Security+ or another DoD 8140-aligned certification.
• Experience supporting SIGINT collection or processing systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain computers and networks so front-end mission systems keep performing.
• Configure and maintain front-end systems, including survey systems.
• Optimize and maintain systems that support advanced data and voice technologies over IP.
• Provide mission-essential help desk support and troubleshoot system and network issues.
• Follow SOPs and update documentation to reflect system changes and fixes.
• Support data flows, including Apache NiFi workflows, and apply secure network policies.
• Write shell, Bash, or Python scripts to automate routine support tasks.
• Work a shift schedule to provide consistent mission coverage.
