About The Position

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is hiring a Systems Engineer at Level 2 or Level 3 to support Sentinel program/project systems engineering needs in Promontory, Utah. The position reports directly to the Systems Engineering Manager and is responsible for technical execution, standards, and workflow processes. The engineer will capture model-based digital architecture and requirements and retrieve compliance data from various sources into the systems engineering model for a defense program. The position follows a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off, and requires travel of approximately 5%–10%. Relocation assistance may be available. The role includes coordinating with customers and program team members, managing customer requirements and derived flow-down, translating system needs into verifiable requirements, supporting verification planning and results, and integrating customer-directed changes through change management. It also involves coordinating across subsystem teams and working with the SEIT SE Lead and specialty discipline engineers on verification and compliance for military and industry standards. Additional work includes supporting model-based systems engineering (MBSE) architecture and practices; maintaining and improving models, tools, and data-exchange workflows; and collaborating with engineering stakeholders on effective MBSE use. The engineer will also analyze part and material requests, assess design compliance, perform parts-management activities, and support material/process specifications, work instructions, and test plans in alignment with Northrop Grumman and industry requirements.
