About The Position

Design, test, and deploy architectures that include VMWare ESXi infrastructure, windows domains, and Linux servers. Develop design documentation. Conduct technical information system security testing in support of the appropriate security risk management processes using security assessment and technical testing efforts to identify and patch vulnerabilities to the systems being developed. Install, configure, and troubleshoot applications running on Windows and Linux server operating systems. Demonstrate knowledge of the fundamentals of data center design best practices, rackmount equipment installation and maintenance, and cable management, network attached storage, direct attached storage, and storage protocols, including NFS and iSCSI.

Requirements

  • Experience installing and configuring windows domains
  • Experience setting up virtual infrastructure leveraging VMWare ESXI
  • Experience setting up and configuring Linux servers
  • Experience hardening Windows servers, Linux servers, and VMWare using DoW Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
  • Experience analyzing network traffic with tools such as Wireshark or TCPDump
  • Knowledge of PKI implementation, including X.509 certificates and certificate authorities
  • Ability to accurately depict network diagrams using Microsoft Visios
  • Top Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in coordination with the commercial mobile industry to assess mobile technologies for the U.S. government
  • Experience working in classified spaces to implement solutions
  • Experience implementing certificate-based encryption on network devices
  • Knowledge of CSfC Capability Packages (CPs)
  • Ability to independently initiate, manage, execute, and report tasks, as identified
  • Ability to communicate complex network principles and designs to clients
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related Technical field
  • VMWare Certified Professional or Microsoft Certified Solution Developer Certification
