About The Position

Jaxon is looking for a full-time Systems Engineer to work at its headquarters in Colorado Springs, CO. The successful candidate will be an effective team player; possess an ability to work in a team of other engineers; be able to interface and communicate effectively with staff, customers, program management and corporate leadership. Requirements

  • BS/MS degree with 0-3 years’ experience, preferably in engineering or related discipline.
  • Strongly desire an active Dept. of Defense SECRET security clearance with the ability to obtain a TOP SECRET clearance per contract requirements.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness to be coached and to learn new skills in a rapidly growing industry.
  • Possess strong personal and professional organization skills.
  • Demonstrated project development and leadership skills for planning and overseeing projects.
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a dynamic team environment with both collocated and geographically dispersed team members with varying experience levels.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills for coordination and reporting work.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft office, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to sustain a 20% travel schedule.

  • Ability to obtain a DoD Top-Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Closely works with customers regarding project requirements, and tracks adherence through a project’s lifecycle.
  • Coordinates with internal, multi-disciplinary teams to ensure projects are executed as planned.
  • Plans and executes multiple engineering projects with limited oversight and direction.
  • Provides succinct, accurate, and conforming deliverables to external stakeholders.
  • Generate and present a variety of technical documents (reports, presentations).
  • Aids in bidding and proposals.
  • Complies with ISO 9001:2015 based traceability and verification requirements
  • Maintains documents-based system management.
