About The Position

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the design, development, verification, and integration of complex aerospace and space systems. This role involves translating high-level mission objectives into clear system architectures, interface control documents, and integration schedules. The engineer will coordinate hardware, software, and test teams to ensure subsystems meet rigorous performance, safety, and reliability criteria, while also managing system-level test planning, execution, and configuration baseline management. This position requires extensive collaboration with the overall program team.

Requirements

  • Experience with military or space mission programs.
  • Experience Using DOORS and/or DOORS NG
  • Experience with SysML
  • Exposure to MBSE tools such as Cameo and Rhapsody
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance.
  • US Citizenship is required

  • Prior Experience working with RAPT-2 or other IGNITE programs is highly desirable

  • Detail‑Oriented - Meticulous at maintaining end‑to‑end requirement traceability from stakeholder need through verification evidence.

  • Collaboration - Works effectively in multidisciplinary teams and fosters a culture of shared ownership.
  • Adaptability - Comfortable operating in a dynamic R&D environment where requirements may evolve rapidly.
