We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join the Technology team in San Diego, supporting KNSD and KUAN. As a Systems Engineer, you will be primarily responsible for implementing and supporting technology and users within our mission critical, media production and enterprise IT environment. Requirements

Minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, radio, television & film, related fields or equivalent experience.
Ability to support a 24/7/365 operation.
Support of mid-to-major market news or live event production operations & 24x7 mission critical technology facilities.
Expertise in planning, implementation and support of media technology including SDI, NDI and ST-2110 video infrastructures, contribution & distribution encoding, live production systems, news gathering tools, NRCS, NLE, media asset management, and transmission systems.
Expertise in core IT fundamentals including administration of physical / virtualized / cloud compute & storage, networking, domain & identity management.
History of successfully leading complex projects resulting in satisfied stakeholders.
Must be willing to work in San Diego, CA
Willingness to travel and work outside standard hours, and on weekends with short notice.
You must possess a valid driver's license.
Must be willing to submit to a background investigation.
Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
Must be 18 years or older.
Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds of gear.
Ability to communicate and interact effectively with diverse audiences across different departments, ranging from non-technical clients to technical professionals and operations staff.
You must be able to process large amounts of information, analyze this information and make sound decisions, sometimes under intense deadline pressure.
Ability to work on your own initiative.
Excellent organization, collaboration and communication skills.
Must possess strong multitasking skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

Gather requirements, plan, and implement technical and workflow solutions for News, Production, and Creative Services partners.
Administration of media production applications, systems and infrastructure, ensuring reliability of technology and operations.
Develop and maintain system documentation for operational and troubleshooting purposes.
Provide technical support, incident response, and customer communication.
Ensure compliance with NBCUniversal cyber security policies and standards.
