About The Position

The L3Harris Implementation Systems Engineer is a customer-facing role supporting the design, implementation, and testing of Land Mobile Radio wireless communications systems for public safety, transportation, and utility customers. The engineer provides technical oversight and collaborates across teams, with vendors, and with subcontractors to meet customer commitments. The role includes engineering ownership of PSPC systems throughout the lifecycle of awarded programs and regular domestic and international travel to support customers and pursue future development opportunities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience; alternatively, a graduate degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience; or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
Willingness and ability to travel regularly, both domestically and internationally.

Nice To Haves

Security+ certification.
CCNA or CCNP certification.
Project+ or PMP certification.
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
Strong RF engineering background.

Responsibilities

Provide technical system ownership of systems after award for the lifecycle of programs.
Collaborate with customers, consultants, vendors, subcontractors, and other L3Harris personnel.
Create system documentation packages, drawings, system parts orders, and design presentations.
Perform system staging, testing, and integration of third-party products.
Serve as the technical point of contact for project managers and customers.
Work within cross-functional teams, including RF engineering, network engineering, product engineering, and project management, to deliver systems on schedule and within budget.
Travel regularly, domestically and internationally, to support customers and future development opportunities.
