Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We are seeking talented and motivated professionals to join our team! HII: Mission Technologies is hiring a Systems Engineer to join their team! The Systems Engineer will work in Mary Esther, Florida and involves providing direct support to the Technology Integration Support Cooperative (TISC) Program in the execution and delivery of contract services. The role encompasses working up and down the leadership chain, within and across teams as required to provide excellence in all we do. The position will primarily work from a traditional office environment but may travel as required to conduct training, device maintenance, or other necessary device tasks. Additionally, the position may participate in working groups, technical exchange meetings, conferences, and other activities to identify and establish capabilities across a vast array of government stakeholders. Requirements

  • 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
  • IAT Level 2 Certification required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant DoD IT project related work experience
  • Must possess an active secret security clearance, current within five years, based upon a single scope background investigation (SSBI) or SSBI periodic review.
  • Ability to acquire a TS/SCI Clearance
  • Experience in applying systems engineering and integration support.
  • Must be proficient with multiple operating systems including Windows 11, Linux, Ubuntu, Red hat Enterprise Linux, iOS, and Android; including patching, upgrading, and loading and configuring applications.
  • Experience configuring virtualized clients and services is highly desired.
  • Provisioning devices. Providing Tier-2 and Tier-3 support; solid testing and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of SE Best practices and innovative approaches to applying those practices in a fast-paced, ongoing development environment.
  • Solid application of SE throughout the lifecycle of product and End User Device (EUD) baseline development efforts.
  • Experience in research and analysis of industry trends, standards, and security vulnerabilities.
  • Experience managing the design and installations of complex IT or Communications related systems.
  • Experience working in a government contracting environment.
  • Self-motivated and driven desire to succeed with minimal direction.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills: peers, management, stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong working knowledge of Mobile Device Management (MDM) Services, architectures

  • Experience utilizing Agile methodologies and principles as well as Agile frameworks.

  • Knowledge of Mobile Content Management (MCM) systems and services.
  • Very comfortable with integration and testing phases, developing test cases.
  • PowerShell, scripting and other task automation knowledge, skills and abilities are highly desired.
  • Experience with designing, implementing and sustaining EUDs for deployment to end users for use in and across disparate global, distributed architectures.
  • Have extensive familiarity with providing support to the DoD, USAF and USSOCOM RMF processes and Cyber Compliance Management and TISC SEIM service delivery requirements.
  • Candidates with experience working with teams supporting the delivery of the Joint Operations Support Cloud Environment (JOSCE), and/or Warfighter Worldwide Network (WWN), and/or Joint Personal Edge Compute Device (JPECD) and SAMS-ESA Wearables are highly preferred.
  • Strong familiarity with one of the following TISC Service Delivery Areas: JOSCE Services, JPECD EUDs, builds and configurations, WWN Services

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the primary technical authority for the design, integration, and sustainment of our Tactical Windows Baseline. You will drive systems engineering lifecycles by conducting rigorous research, collaborating with mission partners, and authoring the standardized specifications and Group Policy Objects (GPOs) that define our tactical operating environment.
  • Directly responsible for establishing secure device baselines, architecting hypervisor and virtualized environments (including Type-1/Type-2 hypervisors, and secure nested virtualization), and sustaining a hybrid End User Device (EUD) ecosystem—integrating Windows tactical baselines with interoperable Android, iOS, and Linux systems. Additionally, you will collaborate directly with penetration testers and offensive security teams to analyze vulnerability findings, rapidly patching, hardening, and defending both physical and virtual baselines. You will engineer and deploy these resilient services secure delivery.
  • Providing technical systems engineering support, including research, collaboration, authoring and maintaining standardized specifications.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to identify system requirements and develop specifications, perform integration testing and providing tier-3 end user support as required.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, requirements statements, and specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other team members as required.
  • Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of systems and services.
  • May assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Coordinating amongst various teams in different engineering disciplines to present a unified, integrated product to project stakeholders.
  • Performing risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Staying abreast of current Industry best practices.
  • Serve as an advocate, owning the services and working to enhance value, operational viability, end user adoption, and overall product satisfaction.
  • Commitment to team and organizational objectives, mentoring others and working to deliver value across the service portfolio.
  • Manage service lifecycle activities, cyber compliance, organizational readiness, and project and product related deliverables.
  • Assess proposed changes to information systems, their environment of operation, and mission needs that could affect system authorizations.
  • Perform deliverable reviews and lead corrective actions to resolve discrepancies.
  • Provide purposeful reviews of security architecting, design, development, and configuration of information systems.
  • Provide inputs to “development” teams responsible for designing and developing organizational information systems and upgrading legacy services, systems, and products.
  • Ensure teams are employing best practices when designing and implementing information systems including software engineering methodologies, system/security engineering principles, secure design, secure architecture, and secure coding techniques and effective testing and reporting processes to validate outcomes.
