About The Position

The Systems Engineer is responsible for the applications infrastructure across all networks. This role provides technical support to ensure application security compliance. The engineer will be responsible for technology precepts implementation and will be part of a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Requirements

2+ years of experience in system engineering, testing, or DevOps roles.
Proven experience configuring CI/CD pipelines and automated testing tools.
Strong working knowledge of Linux/Unix, version control (Git), and scripting languages (Python, Bash, or similar).
Familiarity with Agile development practices.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.
Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with test frameworks.
Strategic thinking and big-picture perspective.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
A passion for IT and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

Design, install, configure, and test operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
Proactively monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to ensure high availability.
Implement and maintain robust security measures, backup strategies, and disaster recovery plans.
Develop custom scripts to automate tasks and improve system efficiency.
Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across hardware, software, and network components.
Work closely with developers, management, and other departments to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
Create and maintain detailed documentation for system architecture, procedures, and support.
Research and assess emerging technologies for potential upgrades or new implementations.
