About The Position

As a systems engineer for the Autonomous Maritime Platforms Business, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for the development, implementation, and testing of advanced autonomous systems. We are looking for a dynamic individual with Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) experience to contribute to design and test of various systems with the aspirations of becoming a team lead within the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus 6 months of relevant experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) experience
  • Strong background in the Undersea Domain and Systems engineer process, concepts, and principles
  • System / Sub-System Integration, Test, and Evaluation; Offshore in-water testing experience preferred
  • Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices and tools proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Requirements analysis, definition, management, validation and verification, test procedure creation and execution.
  • Environmental and MIL Standard Qualification planning and test.
  • Generation of technical engineer design products through use of applicable standards, best practices, and tools throughout the systems development life cycle.
  • Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices and tools proficiency.
  • Proven communication and ability to interface with internal and customer leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of autonomous/unmanned undersea vehicles (AUV/UUVs) technologies, principles, theories and concepts.
  • Creative thinker with demonstrated success leading challenging technical solutions and working closely with stakeholders to manage risk and opportunities.
  • Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and position others for success.
  • Fosters an environment to motivate and push for professional development for yourself and others.
  • Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.
