About The Position

Parsons is seeking a Systems Engineer to develop and implement next-generation IT tools, systems, and capabilities in support of US Cyber Command. The role involves contributing technical input to systems engineering, developing technical and architectural documentation, engaging with government stakeholders, and guiding system development, integration, and testing. The engineer will also brief complex topics to groups that may include senior decision makers and provide guidance to technical staff.

Requirements

Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance.
Typically, a bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 5 or more years of experience; additional experience and niche customer capabilities may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience in both Windows and Linux operating environments.
Proficiency with JIRA, Ansible, and PostgreSQL and/or MySQL.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree in a related discipline and 3 or more years of experience.
DoD Level II certification.
3 or more years of experience with Cloud/AWS.
Proficiency with organizing, storing, and securing data.
Proficiency with DoDAF.
Full-cycle systems development experience.

Responsibilities

Evaluate, develop, and deliver technical input to the systems engineering process.
Develop technical documentation, system architecture, and system design documentation.
Interact with the government regarding systems engineering technical considerations.
Guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
Deliver briefings on complex topics to groups, which may include high-level decision makers.
Provide engineering guidance to technical staff and establish effective working relationships.
