About The Position
The New Product Development Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and validation of residential HVAC systems and components. This role supports innovation initiatives and works cross-functionally with laboratory, manufacturing, and product engineering teams to deliver high-performance, manufacturable solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Technical field and at least 3 years of experience with engineering analysis, troubleshooting, and design OR Master’s degree and at least 1 year of experience with engineering analysis, troubleshooting, and design
- Must be permanent US Resident.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics
- Experience in HVAC system design or related field
- Knowledge of material science and reliability engineering fundamentals
- Experience with design of experiments and data analysis techniques
- Experience with MATLAB, Modelica, or Python
Responsibilities
- Design and develop residential HVAC systems and subsystems
- Develop and validate thermal and system-level models to support design decisions
- Collaborate with laboratory teams on performance, reliability, and compliance testing
- Evaluate system readiness for manufacturability and production
- Partner with manufacturing to translate design requirements into scalable solutions
- Troubleshoot system-level issues and support continuous improvement efforts
- Support multiple small projects or tasks to meet program objectives
