We have an opportunity for a New Product Development Engineer to join our Bishop Woods, WI team. Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • 5+ years of engineering design experience with a focus on consumer products or appliances.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with excellent critical thinking abilities.
  • Familiarity and strong abilities with CAD programs such as Solidworks.
  • Experience using engineering tools (FMEA’s, DOE, DVP&R, RCCM, PLM, Risk Analysis, Statistics, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of product improvement processes.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Manufacturing familiarity and comfortable interfacing with all levels of a manufacturing organization.
  • Highly detail oriented, organized and organizationally agile individual.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in residential appliance design is preferred.
  • Preferred qualifications include injection molding design, sheet metal design, and design-for-manufacturability experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical components and systems for new and existing Everpure Home products
  • Drive enhancements to the new-to-world Naia product
  • Collaborate and bring to life future Everpure Home products that expand the portfolio
  • Own mechanical design from concept through production, including: CAD models and engineering drawings, Tolerance analysis, DFMEA, and specification development, Prototyping, testing, and validation
  • Design and conduct full system testing that integrate all aspects of product performance
  • Drive product enhancements focused on performance, reliability, and manufacturability
  • Apply design-for-manufacturing (DFM/DFA) principles for injection-molded, sheet metal, and assembled components
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners in: Product management, Chemical, electrical, and software engineering, Operations, technical service, supply chain, and technology development
  • Support product launch and production ramp-up, including engineering changes and issue resolution
  • Work directly with suppliers and manufacturing partners to evaluate designs, materials, tooling, and cost tradeoffs
  • Document design details, test results, and perform go-to-market engineering processes such as DFMEA and DVPNR.
  • Contribute to our NPD stage-gate process, balancing urgency with technical rigor
  • Help shape and improve engineering processes as our team and portfolio grow
