The successful candidate will understand customer environments and develop the right systems for their mission, translating real-world needs into technical specifications to deliver customer-focused engineering solutions. As a systems engineer, you will shape next-generation efforts by supporting engineering, designing, developing, and evolving systems with advanced technology solutions, including AWS. The role involves merging enterprise systems engineering in HPC environments with next-generation platform development and cloud adoption (AWS) to create scalable, well-documented, high-performance mission systems for the intelligence community.

Requirements

• Experience in systems engineering supporting large-scale or enterprise systems
• Experience working with High Performance Computing (HPC) environments
• Experience analyzing system requirements and validating technical feasibility of solutions
• Experience identifying system gaps, dependencies, and integration risks
• Experience developing and documenting system processes, workflows, or architectures
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with mission requirements
• TS/SCI with a polygraph
• HS diploma or GED and 19+ years of experience in systems engineering or Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science (CS), Information Systems (IS), Engineering, Science, or Engineering Management and 14+ years of experience in systems engineering

Nice To Haves

• Experience supporting cloud or next-generation platform environments
• Experience supporting system transitions, migrations, or platform integrations
• Experience with requirements management tools like Jira, Confluence, or DOORS
• Experience integrating HPC workloads into modernized environments
• Experience working in mission-driven or operational environments
• Knowledge of system architecture frameworks or modeling approaches
• Ability to evaluate and improve system intake or governance processes
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
• Possession of strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Possession of effective verbal and written communication skills
