About The Position

The Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and improving manufacturing systems, equipment, and processes that support production operations. This role works cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, quality, IT, and operations to ensure production systems are reliable, efficient, and scalable while meeting customer and business requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
3–7 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with manufacturing equipment, automation, and industrial control systems.
Experience with CAD software and manufacturing documentation.
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis methodologies.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production workflows.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, robotics, or industrial networking is preferred.
Experience working with ERP/MRP systems is a plus.
Experience in semiconductor, aerospace, medical device, or precision manufacturing.
Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or ISO 13485 quality systems.
Experience with automation integration and Industry 4.0 technologies.
Knowledge of statistical analysis and process capability studies.
Professional Engineering (PE) license or Six Sigma certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, implement, and support manufacturing systems and production equipment.
Analyze manufacturing processes and recommend system improvements to increase productivity, quality, and efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new equipment, automation, and production technologies.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, controls, and system integration issues affecting manufacturing operations.
Develop and maintain system documentation, process flow diagrams, work instructions, and technical specifications.
Support equipment validation, commissioning, and startup activities.
Participate in new product introduction (NPI) projects and manufacturing process development.
Analyze production data and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Assist with preventive maintenance strategies and equipment reliability initiatives.
Ensure systems comply with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
Support Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide technical support and training to manufacturing personnel when needed.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers regarding equipment installation, upgrades, and maintenance.
