About The Position

Securitas is seeking a motivated and technically skilled Systems Engineer 2 to join our team in Plano, TX. This position plays a critical role in supporting, maintaining, and optimizing security technology systems while ensuring reliable performance and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong technical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can effectively troubleshoot system issues, support ongoing projects, and collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience supporting technology, security, networking, or electronic systems.
  • Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and basic network infrastructure.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with access control, video management, CCTV, or physical security systems.
  • Knowledge of IP networking concepts, including TCP/IP, switches, routers, and network troubleshooting.
  • Industry certifications or manufacturer certifications are a plus.
  • Experience in a customer-facing technical support role.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot physical security and technology systems.
  • Support access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and related security platforms.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
  • Coordinate service activities with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Perform system testing, upgrades, updates, and preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, system records, and service reports.
  • Assist with project implementation, commissioning, and system integration activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, client requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end users and stakeholders.
  • Participate in on-call support or after-hours activities when required.
