The Systems Engineer will understand customer environments, develop appropriate systems for their mission, and translate real-world needs into technical specifications to deliver customer-focused engineering solutions. The position involves shaping next-generation efforts by supporting engineering, designing, developing, and evolving systems with advanced technology solutions, including expanding into areas like AWS. The role requires merging enterprise systems engineering in High Performance Computing (HPC) environments with next-generation platform development and cloud adoption (AWS) to create scalable, well-documented, high-performance mission systems within the intelligence community.

Requirements

• Experience in systems engineering supporting large-scale or enterprise systems
• Experience working with High Performance Computing (HPC) environments
• Experience analyzing system requirements and validating technical feasibility of solutions
• Experience identifying system gaps, dependencies, and integration risks
• Experience developing and documenting system processes, workflows, or architectures
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with mission requirements
• TS/SCI with a polygraph
• HS diploma or GED and 19+ years of experience in systems engineering or Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science (CS), Information Systems (IS), Engineering, Science, or Engineering Management and 14+ years of experience in systems engineering

• Experience supporting cloud or next-generation platform environments
• Experience supporting system transitions, migrations, or platform integrations
• Experience with requirements management tools like Jira, Confluence, or DOORS
• Experience integrating HPC workloads into modernized environments
• Experience working in mission-driven or operational environments
• Knowledge of system architecture frameworks or modeling approaches
• Ability to evaluate and improve system intake or governance processes
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
