About The Position

Bowhead is seeking a Systems Engineer for an upcoming effort in Patuxent River, Maryland. The role provides technical leadership in identifying, developing, designing, and testing solutions to complex engineering problems involving computers and computer-related equipment. The engineer applies advanced systems engineering methods and tools to support the development, integration, and testing of complex military systems and airborne platforms. The position also supports manufacturing and installation activities and coordinates the work of engineering team members.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related scientific discipline from an accredited college or university; a Bachelor's degree in an applicable discipline plus four additional years of relevant experience may substitute, requiring 14 total years of experience.
• At least 10 years of relevant professional experience, or 14 years when using the degree substitution.
• At least 3 years of experience directly related to airborne systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in the applicable engineering discipline.
• Experience applying systems engineering principles to complex hardware systems.
• Must currently hold a Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
• U.S. citizenship is required for Top Secret clearance at this location.

• Support engineering development activities involving complex military systems.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on engineering projects.
• Support the manufacturing and installation of computer-related equipment and components.
• Coordinate and oversee the work of engineering team members.
• Track project progress and participate in project planning, resource allocation, and event coordination.
