About The Position

As a Systems Engineer Staff - Level 4, you will be a Degrader Action Cell (DAC) Lead. Day-to-day responsibilities will include: Investigating and analyzing performance degraders, reviewing supply chain posture, parts inventory, Monthly Demand Rates (MDR), Repair Cycle Times (RCT), consumption rates, field failures, and maintenance practices to recommend actionable solutions. Leading cross-functional projects focused on sustainment improvements and cost-reduction initiatives for the U-2 fleet. Monitoring and maintaining projects and schedules. Developing Return To Green (RTG) plans for the U-2 Keep ‘Em Flying (KEF) Cell. Setting up meetings and reviews with stakeholders. Providing parts Line of Balance status, developing project reports, and maintaining metrics for leadership.

Requirements

  • Holds an active DoD Secret Clearance with CV date in the last 5 years.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Holds a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college, OR equivalent combination of technical education and/or aircraft experience.
  • Demonstrated use and understanding of Project Management and/or technical Skills to lead and conduct analysis of complex sustainment, engineering, or supply chain issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams to meet program or project schedule milestones.
  • Demonstrated Supply, Logistics, or Maintenance experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Root Cause, Corrective Actions (Six Sigma), failure analysis, Keep ‘Em Flying Cells, or field logistics support.
  • Understanding of Aircraft performance metrics, Supply status reporting and parts performance indicators (Production/Maintenance Control).
  • Experience with analysis tools, SFM, SAP, data management, ALMSS/CALMSS, or comparative analysis.
  • Proficient with work flow management tools (Jira, Confluence, Tableau).

Responsibilities

  • Leading cross-functional projects focused on sustainment improvements and cost-reduction initiatives for the U-2 fleet.
  • Focus on supply and inventory postures. Maintaining parts to support fleet availability.
  • Understanding of fleet performance metrics, including Supply (NMCS), Maintenance (NMCM), Aircraft Availability (AA), and Mission Capable (MC) Rates
  • Investigating and analyzing performance degraders, supply chain posture, and maintenance practices to recommend actionable solutions.
  • Supporting the development and optimization of maintenance plans, including updates to existing procedures and documentation.
  • Using Monthly Demand Rates, vendor Repair Cycle Times, operating location Asset Postures, and consumption rates to develop Return To Green plans for aircraft availability.
  • Driving project lifecycles end-to-end — from identification and triage, through solution development, implementation, and closure.
  • Preparing and delivering high-level briefings to executive leadership and other key stakeholders.
  • Clearly communicating technical analysis, project impacts, associated risks/opportunities, expected efficiencies, and Return To Green Plans.
