About The Position

Torch Technologies is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Common Services (CS) at Maxwell Air Force Base-Gunter Annex in Montgomery, AL. ERP Common Services is responsible for establishing, integrating, and sustaining common engineered infrastructure and services capabilities across the Air Force’s ERP applications, supporting key systems like AFIPPS-ACAT I, DEAMS-ACAT I, and MROi-BCAT II. This role will provide crucial support to the AFLCMC/GB Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate (BES).

Requirements

  • US Citizenship.
  • Master's or Doctorate Degree in a related field and 10 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five years of which must be in the DoW.
  • OR Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoW.
  • OR 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications, 8 of which must be in the DoW.
  • 8140 Certification, CompTIA Security+ CE preferred.
  • Must hold Active Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, describe, and apply emerging IT acquisition strategies, best practices, IT-related performance measures and quality management in support of acquisition planning, information assurance/cybersecurity, test and evaluation processes, verification and validation processes, and/or fielding and sustaining of IT/software systems.
  • Conduct reviews on program portfolio to evaluate and/or recommend alternative plans, improve systems engineering programs/processes, manage/sustain program technical baseline, and design/perform system level tests to assure that subsystems and system performance is achieved in accordance with approved specifications.
  • Perform program reviews to evaluate alternative proposed plans, systems engineering programs, design and test results to assure that subsystem and system performance is achieved in accordance with program specifications.
  • Prepare technical documentation which defines, specifies, and recommends system/subsystem characteristics.
  • Prepare management reports and conducts technical presentations for planning, implementation and corrective action using application of engineering principles.
  • Perform validation of software systems including development of analyses/evaluation criteria and procedures, analyses/evaluation of results, and related recommendations.
  • Provide Agile and Digital system/program engineering, technical support and technical training to support programs/initiatives including, but not limited to, acquisition, development, integration, sustainment, continued evolution, deployment/fielding and installation, and operations oversight.
  • Provide engineering support services and inputs to program and risk management activities in compliance with AF Systems Engineering Assessment Model (SEAM) processes.
  • Perform all (system) engineering according to applicable DoW, AF, AFMC directives, instructions, and manuals.
