About The Position

Lockheed Martin is seeking a talented level 3 Satellite Systems Engineer with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance to work from our Sunnyvale, CA location. As a Systems Engineer, you will learn GEO space vehicle operations from factory integration and test until decommission. You will be responsible for the daily state of health and operability of the constellation, working closely with and relying on technical analysts, Certified Principal Engineers (CPE), and Subject Matter Experts (SME) to understand and resolve issues. You will support all pre-launch readiness rehearsals and launch and early orbit test support, and apply what you learned to support satellite day in the life (DITL) testing. You will document operational processes, findings, and resolutions, identify requirements and support execution of vehicle flight objectives, and identify and implement changes to improve performance. You will also develop tools and techniques to perform analysis. This is an EARLY-MID CAREER (level 3) ROLE where candidates typically require 3+ years of professional experience and a BS degree.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline, or related experience, or a combination of degree and experience.
  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
  • Team oriented with willingness to learn
  • Familiarity and knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts and overtime and weekends when necessary to support mission goals

  • Any experience with satellite Launch and Early Orbit Testing (L&EOT)

Responsibilities
