Meaningful Work and Personal Impact As a Systems Engineer Principal, you will support the design, development, engineering, integration, and operational sustainment of the Non Classified Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNET), Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET), and Deployed Forces (DF) components of the Department of War Information Network (DOWIN). You will also play a critical role in the configuration management, testing, implementation, and optimization of Army Active Directory (AD) systems.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of related technical experience

  • Scripting, automation, and diagnostics

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic planning, execution, and management for the design, build, deployment, and optimization of AD systems across Army NIPRNET, SIPRNET, Joint, and testing environments.
  • Design, build, test, and modernize AD hardware, software, components, and peripherals to ensure compatibility with current technologies and software iterations.
  • Develop and maintain forest architecture, site replication, security and identity isolation, disaster recovery, and hybrid identity/cloud integration strategies.
  • Lead and support AD service management processes to ensure accuracy, reliability, and effective lifecycle management.
  • Provide authoritative configuration management, documentation, and guidance for administrators at all levels.
  • Support operational organizations with Requests for Change (RFCs), IAVA compliance, vulnerability scanning, and the implementation of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
  • Recommend and support the implementation of AD tools across multiple operating system environments.
  • Collaborate with technical peers, change and risk managers, technical writers, and government stakeholders across all echelons, including subordinate commands and Headquarters, Department of the Army.
  • Participate in Boards, Bureaus, Centers, Cells, and Working Groups (B2C2WG) supporting NETCOM network solutions.
  • Provide expertise in directory services, application server integration, and enterprise application migration support.
