About The Position

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Systems Engineer (T02 level) / Principal Systems Engineer (T03 level), in the GN&C department. This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program. The selected candidate will be embedded in the GN&C department and program integrated product teams, providing Systems Engineering support for the Guidance, Navigation, and Control Subsystem, to ensure sound engineering procedures and products; including, but not limited to, requirements, interfaces, architecture, and mechanical/electrical design integration. Candidate will report to the GN&C Power and Distribution Lead and is responsible for building system engineering artifacts needed for Power and Distribution System First Flight Design Review, Critical Design Review, Functional Configuration Audit, and System Qualification/Verification Review. The role entails coordination with higher level system engineers and design engineering to produce the needed documentation and set baseline system documentation in Cameo and DOORs and push artifacts through engineering approval and configuration management. Additional opportunities allow for communication with the customer and subcontractors to align requirements to the contract constraints and subcontracts to requirements.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
  • Must have a current or ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
  • Systems Engineer (T02 Level): Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 0 years of experience with Master's degree.
  • 2+ years of experience with one or more of the following: requirements management/analysis/allocations including the use of DOORS or equivalent; Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBE/MBSE) practices, languages and/or tools such as Cameo, Rhapsody or MagicDRAW; interface development experience; architecture development experience; Verification including verification method determination, RVAM development.
  • Principal Systems Engineer (T03 Level): Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience with bachelor’s degree, 3 years of experience with master's degree, 1 year experience with a PhD.
  • 4+ years of experience with one or more of the following: requirements management/analysis/allocations including the use of DOORS or equivalent; Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBE/MBSE) practices, languages and/or tools such as Cameo, Rhapsody or MagicDRAW; interface development experience; architecture development experience; Verification including verification method determination, RVAM development.

Responsibilities
