About The Position

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is hiring a Systems Engineer or Principal Systems Engineer (Level 2 or Level 3) for Support Systems Integration on the Sentinel Program. The position is based in Roy, Utah, or Colorado Springs and supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production, and deployment of hardware and system modifications for ICBM Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities, and associated infrastructure. The engineer develops systems engineering interface products for the Support & Training Segment Integration Team, including Interface Control Models and Interface Control Documents, and identifies segment interfaces using MBSE practices. The role integrates design and systems engineering across teams and products to support the supportability and maintainability of a complex system-of-systems. It also performs integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, supportability, and effectiveness analyses for Support Equipment. The position collaborates with Design, Integrated Logistics Support, Specialty Engineering, and project management to develop Support Equipment for the Sentinel mission operational system. Work spans all product lifecycle stages, from concept and design through fabrication, testing, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal. The engineer translates customer or product requirements into support equipment and total systems solutions within technical, schedule, and cost constraints, and performs functional and timeline analyses, trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition using DOORS. This is a full-time position with a standard 9/80 schedule: nine-hour days Monday through Thursday and every other Friday off. The role requires an active DoD Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship. Travel is 10% of the time, and relocation assistance may be available. The position may be filled at either the Systems Engineer or Principal Systems Engineer level depending on qualifications.
