About The Position

Davidson is seeking a Systems Engineer Mission Analyst - Level 2 or 3 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The Systems Engineer Mission Analyst will support the Overhead Persistent InfraRed (OPIR) Organization. The selected candidate will help guide and advise Space-Based Infrared System (SBIRS) and Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) OPIR Architecture (BOA) analysis efforts in support of MDA Flight Tests and Integrated/Distributed Ground Tests. The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/teams comprised of all experience levels.

Requirements

  • Systems Engineer - Level 2: Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 2 years of related work experience, or a Master's Degree and 0-2 years of related work experience.
  • Principal Systems Engineer - Level 3: Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 5 years of related work experience, or a Master's Degree and 3 years of related work experience, or 1 year of related work experience with a PhD. in STEM.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time to support business needs.
  • Documentation and requirements tracking experience.
  • Basic knowledge of LINUX commands.
  • Ability to maintain and follow documented processes and procedures.
  • Strong communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Ability to maintain documentation through the development lifecycle.
  • Ability to work in a team-centric, multi-tasking environment.
  • Must be eligible and able to receive and maintain a DoD-issued Secret security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • MBSE Experience with CAMEO.
  • Project Management Experience.
  • Scripting experience with MATLAB, Python, Perl.
  • Working knowledge of OPIR systems.

Responsibilities

  • Analyses performed at all levels to include concept, design, scenario generation, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and post-test results.
  • Maintain both hardware and software baseline documentation and contract requirements fulfillment.
  • Technical analysis, system integration, verification and validation, and "supportability and effectiveness" analyses for total OPIR systems.
  • Special focus on process automation to support the Ground Test Integrated Simulation System (GTISS) architecture, design, and implementation within the OPIR framework.
  • Define the next generation of Ground Testing and working with the latest technology to enable mission success.
