Systems Engineer (MBSE)

UIC Alaska•Stafford, VA

About The Position

Bowhead seeks a Systems Engineer (MBSE) to join its Tactical Communications and Electromagnetic Warfare (TCE) team in Stafford, Virginia. The role provides systems engineering knowledge, technical guidance, and support to the program management office. The engineer plans and coordinates project engineering work, supports acquisition documentation and technical recommendations, and consults with stakeholders to inform program management decisions. The position supports Systems Engineering Technical Reviews and configuration management, including preparation and maintenance of review documentation, baseline artifacts, engineering change proposals, and configuration plans. It also supports configuration and version control of system models and architecture artifacts so MBSE products remain aligned with the approved system technical baseline. The engineer contributes engineering events and dependencies to the Integrated Master Schedule, analyzes user requirements, and maintains requirements traceability. The role develops and maintains operational, functional, logical, and physical architectures; models system capabilities, behavior, interfaces, and dependencies; and performs model-based analyses, trade studies, performance assessments, and verification and validation support. The engineer coordinates with government and contractor teams to keep the model current and link requirements and architecture to test and verification activities.
