About The Position

The Systems Engineer IV is a senior technical contributor responsible for end-to-end systems engineering ownership of complex semiconductor capital equipment subsystems. The role leads cross-functional execution across mechanical, electrical, software, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and customer engineering teams to deliver reliable, high-performance, field-ready systems. It contributes to new product introduction (NPI), field issue resolution, and reliability improvement programs by translating customer and business requirements into robust system-level solutions. The position focuses on Applied Materials’ Sculpta® platform, which supports precision patterning at advanced semiconductor technology nodes. The engineer owns system-level requirements, architecture, integration, performance, and reliability for assigned tool subsystems and assemblies, and works across teams to deliver fab-ready hardware that operates reliably at scale. The role also supports customer escalations and on-site activities as required. The position is full-time, based in Gloucester, Massachusetts, and requires travel 20% of the time. Relocation is eligible.
